2025-04-23August 12, 2014, 10:40am 1 I have a client who for what ever reason is having issues installing Windows updates. I have ran the System Update Readiness tool and it has found several errors. I have seen instructions on what to do to replace the .mum files like servicing\packages\Package_30_for_KB2871997~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.2.5.mum but not files like winsxs\manifests\x86_microsoft-windows-credssp-adm_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.18409_none_dafb4abdb9ae7180.manifest. I have attached the log file.CheckSUR.log (19 KB) Download the corrupt package KB2871977 (identified in your log) from the Microsoft Download center. Save the file to your desktop. Create the folder C:\Windows\CheckSUR\packages** (If it does not exist).** Copy the package you downloaded to the folder you created. Run the System Update Readiness tool again.
